Peltra Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 August 2026
In two lines
Peltra is a list app for sharing with the people you live with. It is free to use, and whatever it takes to share with the people you live with is part of that free tier: collaborating is never charged for, neither to you nor to whoever joins your lists. What you write is yours, we do not use it for anything other than providing the service, and you can take your account away whenever you want.
This summary does not replace what follows.
1. Who provides the service
Write to hello@peltra.app about anything to do with these terms.
2. What Peltra is and what you are agreeing to
Peltra is an iOS and Android application for writing lists, sorting them, sharing them with other people and having them sync between phones.
By installing and using it you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, the answer is not to use it: you can uninstall it at any time and, if you have an account, delete it from inside the app.
3. The account
Peltra can be used without an account. Without one everything works the same inside the device, and what you write never leaves it. What you do not get without an account is sharing lists or recovering them on another device.
With an account:
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens from your session.
- The password minimum is 10 characters. If you suspect someone has got in, change it and write to us.
- An account belongs to one person. Do not share it: that is what shared lists are for, which is exactly what the app does.
- You can delete it from Profile → Your account, at any time and without asking anyone. Exactly what happens when you delete it is at
https://peltra.app/delete-account.
4. What you write is yours
The content of your lists —what you jot down, the notes, the photos you attach— is yours. We acquire no rights over it beyond the technical permission strictly needed to provide the service: storing it, copying it between your devices, and showing it to the people you decide to share that list with.
We do not read your lists, we do not use them for advertising, we do not analyse them to train anything and we do not pass them to anyone. How your personal data is processed is at https://peltra.app/privacy.
5. Shared lists
When you share a list, whoever is inside sees what is in it and who did each thing. That is what a shared list is, and it is worth being clear about before inviting anyone.
- Whoever creates a list owns it and can remove anyone from it.
- Whoever joins with read-only permission cannot change anything; the server prevents it, not just the app.
- Invitation links expire after 30 days and can be cancelled at any time.
- Removing someone from a list takes away what they had pending, but does not erase what they already did: who paid and who completed what stays, because it is also the other people's history.
If you share a list with someone, you answer for what you put in it.
6. Acceptable use
Peltra may not be used to:
- Upload illegal content, or content you do not hold the rights to.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate someone, including inside a shared list.
- Try to get around other people's permissions, probe the database or reach lists that are not yours.
- Automate the service in a way that degrades it for everyone else.
If someone uses the app for this, we can suspend or close their account. Normally we warn first; when the harm is to another person, waiting is not always possible.
7. Availability, and what we do not promise
Peltra is built to work offline: what you write is saved on your phone right away and does not wait for the network. That is the part we do promise.
What we do not promise is that the server will be available without interruption. There can be downtime for maintenance, because of a failure at our provider, or for reasons outside our control. When that happens, the app keeps working on your phone and syncs when it comes back.
The service is provided as is, with no warranties beyond those the law grants and that cannot be excluded. In particular, and since Peltra does not export your data to a file, keep your own copies of whatever matters to you; if you want a copy of everything we hold about you, write to us and we will give it to you (art. 20 GDPR).
8. Liability
We are not liable for indirect damages, for data loss caused by something outside our control, or for the use other people make of the lists you share with them.
Nothing in this section limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited: wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or the rights you have as a consumer.
9. Minors
Peltra is not aimed at people under 14 and they may not use it (art. 7 LOPDGDD).
10. Changes and end of the service
If these terms change, we will update this page and give notice inside the app before the change affects you. The date at the top says when it was last touched.
You can stop using Peltra whenever you want. If we ever stopped providing the service, we would give enough notice for you to ask for a copy of your data before it closes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to go to the courts of your own domicile and to whatever out-of-court dispute resolution mechanisms apply to you.
For anything at all, write to hello@peltra.app first: almost everything gets sorted out there.
12. Subscriptions
In force from
[date of the first version that can charge]. Before that date Peltra charges for nothing and this section does not apply.
12.1 What is paid for and what is not
Peltra is free to use, and the free tier is not a trial. Without paying anything you get ten lists of your own, unlimited items, all eleven kinds of list, reminders, offline working and syncing between your phones.
And, very specifically, collaboration is never charged for:
- You can join every list shared with you, with no limit.
- As many people as needed can join a list of yours, with no limit.
- Whoever receives an invitation is never asked to pay, at any point.
The free plan limits two things, and both of them are about lists you own:
| What | Free plan |
|---|---|
| Your own lists at a time | 10 |
| Of those, how many can be shared at a time | 2 |
Both are limits on how many at once, not on how many ever, and both have a way out without paying. Stopping sharing one frees a sharing slot; archiving one you no longer use frees a list slot, and archiving deletes nothing: the list is still there and comes back whenever you want.
And under no circumstances is access blocked to anything you have already written. The lists you have stay open: they are read, written to, shared and synced just the same. The only thing the limit prevents is creating or sharing one more.
12.2 Price, period and how payment works
The price, the currency, the taxes and the periods available are shown inside the app, on the purchase screen, before you buy. They are set and charged by the store —App Store or Google Play— according to your country; that is why they are not written here: here they would go stale, and the figure that counts is the one you see at the moment of buying.
Payment is taken entirely by Apple or Google using the payment details of your store account. We neither receive nor keep your payment details (see §3.1 of the privacy policy).
12.3 Automatic renewal
The subscription renews itself for periods equal to the one you took out, and is charged in the 24 hours before the end of each period, until you cancel it.
12.4 How to cancel
You cancel from your store account: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Payments and subscriptions on Android. There is also a shortcut in Peltra, at Settings → Your subscription → Manage subscription, which opens that same page.
You have to cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends so the next one is not charged. Cancelling does not refund the period already paid: you keep the plan until that period ends, and after that the account goes back to the free plan.
Going back to the free plan deletes nothing of yours, and blocks nothing. Lists over the limits —both in total and shared— are still there, still open and still shared: they are read, written to and synced just the same. The only thing you will not be able to do is create a new one or share a new one until you go back under the limits, and going under them is a matter of archiving or unsharing; nothing has to be deleted.
12.5 Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store that charged, under its own terms, and we cannot grant them ourselves: on iOS through reportaproblem.apple.com, and on Android through Google Play. If you think you have been charged by mistake, write to us anyway at hello@peltra.app and we will help you with it.
12.6 Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving reasons. As this is digital content supplied immediately, on buying you expressly request that the service start straight away and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed (art. 103.m of the consolidated text of the Spanish Consumer Protection Act). This does not affect Apple's and Google's refund policies, which are usually broader.
12.7 Price changes
A price change does not apply to the period already paid for. If the price goes up, the store will notify you and you will have to accept it for the renewal to go ahead; if you do not accept it, the subscription ends at the end of the current period. If a change affects you, we will also give reasonable notice from inside the app.
12.8 If we stop offering a plan
If we withdraw a plan, whoever had it keeps it until the end of their period. If the service closed down entirely, §10 applies, and in addition no renewal after the announcement will be charged.
